Tinbergen Institute, Amsterdam/Rotterdam

The Tinbergen Institute is a research school in economics, founded jointly by the economics departments of the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (EUR), the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA), and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) in 1987. Some 90 research fellows, comprised of selected faculty members from the universities, are active in the following research fields: labour economics, econometrics, financial markets, international markets, game theory, experimental economics, etc. The Tinbergen Graduate School enrols about 145 students in two programmes. One leads to a Master of Philosophy in Economics, and the other to a Ph.D. in Economics.
