Placement Mariia Artemova: Erasmus University Rotterdam
Mariia Artemova has accepted an Assistant Professor position at the Econometric Institute at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She will join them in the fall of 2024.
Mariia is a PhD candidate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the department of Econometrics and Data Science, supervised by research fellows Francisco Blasques and Siem Jan Koopman. Mariia holds a research master degree in Economics from Tinbergen Institute (2020). She is especially interested in research in Time Series Analysis, Financial Econometrics, and Macroeconometrics.
In her job market paper, titled 'An Order-Invariant Score-Driven Dynamic Factor Model', she introduces a novel econometric methodology and establishes a general theoretical framework for score-driven dynamic factor models. She reveals the importance of robustness features when modeling macro and financial time series in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
