TI would like to welcome and introduce Michiel Gerritse, who has joined TI as a candidate fellow.
Michiel is an assistant professor at the Department of Applied Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He holds a PhD from VU Amsterdam/Tinbergen Institute and after his promotion he spent several years at the University of Groningen. Currently, he is working on the (spatial) impacts of government spending and taxes, and on the location, trade and acquisition choices of multinational firms. His research interests are in international and spatial economics, and how to make policies for multi-location economies. He direct and teach in the Urban, Port and Transport programme at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Michiel has become member of TI’s Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics (STEE) research group.
