TI would like to welcome and introduce John Cawley, who has joined TI as a research fellow.

John Cawley

John Cawley is a Professor in the Department of Policy Analysis and Management, and the Department of Economics, at Cornell University, United States, where he co-directs the Institute on Health Economics, Health Behaviors and Disparities. He was recently appointed as ‘Erasmus Initiative Professor of Health Economics’ at the Department of Applied Economics at Erasmus School of Economics.

John’s primary field of research is the economics of risky health behaviors, in particular the economics of obesity. John serves as an Editor of the Journal of Health Economics and is on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon).

John has become member of TI’s Labor, Health, Education and Development (LHED) research group.
