|| TINBERGEN INSTITUTE || ERASMUS UNIVERSITY ROTTERDAM || Global eCommerce Master The Economics of Digital Business
The course focuses upon the questions what economic principles define markets, firms and consumers, and how do these institutions change with the evolution of technology. In addition, we investigate what economic variables characterize ‘value added’ for people and businesses, and how these factors are manifested within electronic channels. The immediate purpose of this course is to provide students with a solid theoretical foundation to differentiate the hype from the current state of the art in digital business. But more importantly, the greater objective is to endow students with a portfolio of conceptual tools to embrace future business models bred from the imminent evolution of the digital economy.
