Placement Maria Cotofan: London School of Economics (Centre for Economic Performance)

Maria Cotofan, PhD Candidate at Erasmus University Rotterdam, has accepted a Research Economist position at the London School of Economics (Centre for Economic Performance). She will join the Wellbeing group in April 2020.

Upon her graduation from Tinbergen Institute research master in Economics in 2016, Maria started a PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam, supervised by research fellows Robert Dur and Josse Delfgaauw. Her research interests include Applied Microeconomics, Experimental and Behavioral Economics, Education Economics, and Labor Economics. In her current research, she uses experimental methods to study the effects of non-monetary incentives in education and has conducted a series of field experiments with teachers. She also studies how work preferences are formed, how they differ across countries, and their consequences for workers and organizations.
