Eva Janssens awarded the Professor Bruins Prize

TI MPhil alumna Eva Janssens (2018, cum laude) is presented the Professor Bruins Prize at the festive opening ceremony of the academic year at Erasmus University Rotterdam on Monday 3 September 2018.

The Professor Bruins Prize is awarded annually to a Research Master student at the Erasmus University Rotterdam with outstanding academic achievements and research abilities.

The jury was greatly impressed by her excellent academic performance and her research qualities. She has already co-authored a number of papers and constantly seeks new opportunities to find added value in her field. The jury was appreciative of Janssens’ detailed motivation regarding how she will be spending the prize money and was impressed by her dean’s extensive praise.

Eva completed the Tinbergen Institute Mphil programme this summer and starts her PhD at University of Amsterdam under the supervision of fellows Frank Kleibergen (University of Amsterdam) and Christian Stoltenberg (University of Amsterdam) this fall. She was recently awarded a NWO Research Talent grant to fund a PhD project on ‘Estimation and identification of parameters in macroeconomic models with incomplete markets’.
