Placement Oscar Soons: DNB Dutch Central Bank

In September, Oscar Soons will start as a monetary policy economist at the Economics and Research Department of the Dutch Central Bank (DNB).

Placement Oscar Soons: DNB Dutch Central Bank

Oscar is currently a PhD-candidate in Finance at the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of research fellow Enrico Perotti. His primary research interests include central bank digital currency and the economics of the European Monetary Union, including questions related to fiscal transfers, common exchange rate implications, and common debt issuance. Other research interests are in financial regulation, banking and macro finance. Oscar is a TI research master alumnus and graduated in 2018.
