Student Council: upcoming events

From time to time, the Student Council organizes fun events for the students. Regular events include the Introduction Day for the first-year students, Sinterklaas, ice skating, and the International Dinner.

TI/BDS Chess Tournament on May 7, 2024

It is time for the famous annual TI/BDS Chess Tournament! This year's edition will take place at Tinbergen Institute Amsterdam on May 7 at 18:00. The Chess tournament is open for research master students, PhDs and Professors!

As in previous years, the Student Council organizes a tournament where you can test your chess skills against other students/PhDs and Professors. You can also sign up as a spectator if you don't feel like competing, but would still like to join the event.

Monthly Movie Night

Students will receive an invitation. 

TI-BDS Walking, Cycling and Running Clubs - ongoing events

For everyone who wants to move and stay connected, the Student Council invites you to join our Strava Clubs for walking, cycling and running. We are hosting sport events on a regular basis and have a virtual dinner party afterwards. Join the club to stay updated!

Everyone affiliated to the Tinbergen Institute or Business Data Science can join. Hyperlinks to our clubs can be found on Intranet > Event Login or contact one of the student council officers for more information.
